HOW TO PLAY
You are on a submarine looking to find the lost city (and comment below the time to prove you actually found the city!). Navigate yourself around a 9KM square map and explore its depths!  

Buoys Can Light Your Way!

Touch Buoys and they will float to the surface and emit a light to help you navigate below. This is useful as your own light isn't very powerful.

Mines Explode and Kill You!
Hitting a mine is insta-death. They float in the water and explode on contact. 

You have Limited Oxygen!

Bumping into things will cause damage to your submarine (more bubbles!) which results in a faster rate of oxygen loss. Diving deeper will increase your oxygen use. Return to the surface to restore your oxygen tanks. 

  Find the Hidden City to win!

The city is hidden somewhere on the map, you'll have to find it to win. Brave dark waters, hidden caves, and mines... so many mines!

The map is an island archipelago spread over 9 square kilometers. However, all the islands are connected close to the sea floor so you can follow the rock outcroppings between them as you search for the sunken hidden city. You can use the Buoys as bread crumbs to light your way. 

CONTROLS
[W/S] - Forward & Backwards

[A/D] - Turn Sub Left & Right

[Shift/Ctrl] Float & Submerge

[Esc] - Quit

[C] - Change Camera (Periscope, Port Down, Starboard Down)

[Left/Right Arrows Keys] - Spin Periscope (Only Periscope Camera Spins!)

[~] - Swap between Fullscreen and window view

[Q] - CHEAT! Pings Hidden City so the shorter the ping the closer you are.

Future Work

A 5 day game jam really hussled to get it done. However there were a few things that need to be refined / added (extra bits that help).

0. Fix Surface Water Mistake in Jam build (use 1.0.2 to see it)
1. Add Torpedoes to you sub so you can blow up those mines from a safe distance!
2. Ocean Bobs - have it where buoys and mines move up and down more. Maybe even with some ocean currents so they move/sway side to side. 
3. Additional Levels! Find more things in the ocean!
4. Let there be daylight! Basically have it where you can play during the day with better lighting or have a 5-10 minute day/night cycle.
